#8 TURQUOISE:

This highly prized mine's color can range from light blue to minty green tones to the not so much seen, darker tones.. But it's not so much the color when it comes to this mine, as much as it is for it's matrix patterns & the matrix color that makes it that much easier to identify.. In fact, you can kind of skip over the color with this one, since it's more about the matrix that makes it easy to spot & causes it to be high in demand. The matrix with #8 turquoise has a fine webbing and goes from having golden brown,to dark brown, to black fine matrix lines.

The mine was closed nearly 50 years ago and is considered some of the finest turquoise ever found and is considered 'highly 'collectible.' It is asked for by name & there are buyers who are thirsty to find just about any jewelry made with it. Because it is dwindling down, has caused it to increase in price & goes for a lot per carat. THE EARRINGS:

Set in a simple bezel setting, these reversed pentagon shape earrings were deliberately cut for a matching pair of earrings.. The turquoise is a soft minty green color & has this beautiful golden brown webby type matrix, which gives these rocks all their wonderful character. This type setting was the perfect choice for a pair of earrings like these, where there’s no distraction & the sole focus is on the stones, since it’s all about the turquoise with these!

These are a ‘mirrored’ earring and are meant to be worn just like they are shown in the photos, where the bottom angle is facing toward the face. But you do whatever’s comfortable for you!

These have a tad of weight, so if you’re a woman who can’t tolerate any kind of weight on your ear, these then may be too heavy. We have numerous earring listings, so there’s many to choose from!.
