THE EARRINGS:

Hanging from a well designed 9 stone cluster top, is a hand cut hoop that has both oval & round cuts of premium Sciacca Italian red Coral that lay atop of it & fill in the width of the hoop. Accented with a dangling drop in the center of the hoop & the design is finalized with 3 coral dangles that form a slight “V” design.

All the coral is well matched in color, but I wouldn't call the color a deep ox blood dark red, nor would I consider them to have a orange red color ,but rather a soft medium red.

All the cabochons have a clean appearance, meaning that many times we'll see coral with little holes & black markings which are actually inherit to the coral, but with these, it lacks both things mentioned.

Because they are made with a lighter gauge sterling, allows these to be easy on the lobes & make for a good ‘go-to’ coral earring that can take you from day to night, while having a sophisticated presence.. (see weights below for you to decide) Finished in a contemporary mirror polished finishing.

Anyone person whose closely involved in this business knows how much the price of Coral has climbed to & has gotten so ridiculously expensive, which makes it unaffordable for many artists to even consider buying. In the last few years, the cost of "GOOD" Coral has skyrocketed up to 500% & compared to a few years ago when it was at about $250 a gram,it is now well over $1000 a gram for the premium qualities. Coral is now been put on the "Rare" list & no longer can it be fished, nor brought in the USA. (These reasons are reflected in the price) Everyday the price goes up & the less availability, the higher the price will go! Coral will never lose it's value & has become a collectible material for these reasons mentioned.
