Clarissa hand cut all the Lapis for these "Showstopper-Runway" style earrings,which is unlike other artists out there that buy their stones already cut,shaped,polished & ready for setting,she chooses to do everything the "Old School" way where everything is done from scratch. Yes,it's very time consuming & a valuable asset to have,especially when you want a specific size or shape! (Lapis is extremely dense & is also not the easiest to cut!)

Made in a "Mirror" style where there is a actual left & right earring,these are made in a 1/2 moon style,where the large center 1/2 moon cut (2" x 1") is a rich blue & & you can witness all the gold pyrite in it, which is known to better Lapis. Round clusters of Lapis surround the center cut,then for additional width,ANOTHER cluster form surrounds those! This addition is what makes the design get wider! 4 Oval cut dangles finalize the design.

With size come weight & these are extremely weighty(Just under 3 ounces!!),so they HAD to have been made into a clip, to prevent tearing of the ear!

PLEASE READ: I do want to mention, that because of the generous portions of both Lapis & sterling, these are a weighty earring that may want to slip, because of the weight. My personal remedy for fixing this, is to take “Flexible clear surgical tape (I prefer Nexcare 3M ) & rip a somewhat small piece & then roll it so it becomes ‘double sided’.. This will then stick on the back of the earring & against your ear. (You don’t want to cut any bigger than the back of the earrings top) Stick that on the backside of the top & the earrings now are secure & won’t want to fall off the ear! I do this with earrings that are weighty or if the clip has loosened.
