ABOUT DRY CREEK:

Dry Creek Turquoise has gained much popularity over the years & has become a real favorite to buyers..What makes Dry Creek uniquely different compared to many of our other mines, is for the fact that it comes naturally in this very pastel-creamy baby blue color. In regards to grading turquoise, usually the more pale the color, the lower the quality, EXCEPT for the Dry Creek mine! It has a good hardness (which equates to quality in turquoise) & takes a high polish(Another sign of quality!) Another signature character known to this particular turquoise, is for it's super fine matrix lines.

Keep in mind that natural, non treated turquoise will always over shadow inferior grades of turquoise, which makes natural that much more desired since it represents the authenticity & unaltered attributes of the rock. High Grade/Gem Quality turquoise is getting scarce & because of it’s unavailability, makes it that much more sought after by the true & die hard, turquoise connoisseurs.. The Dry Creek Turquoise Mine Is closed down & is no longer operating, so with that alone, also shoots it to the top of the list & puts it in “high in demand” mode & primarily because of it’s rarity, hardness & pale blue color.

THE ADJUSTABLE BYPASS SHANK:

This is presently set at a size 9. If you do need to go up in size, I can size this for you, but I can’t size it any more than say 1 to 1-1/2 sizes from it's presently set size. I personally find it harder to go down in size, so if you need it smaller, this is something a reputable jeweler can do for you. The shank is set where it can be brought down or brought up in size, but only if the size is close to the size 9, that it is.. In other words, this won’t work if you’re going from a size 9 down to a size 5 or from a size 9 to a size 13.

Artist name & recognition, turquoise quality, cost per carat for this quality, amount of carats, turquoise availability, sterling cost & artists time are all reflected in price.
