THE RING:
One thing that can’t denied, is there is nothing dainty about this ring! Just like anything with Federico’s name attached, this was designed to be seen & felt..
The ring is made with a generous amount of both stone & sterling & has some weight to it because of the generous portions! Dictating the over all shape of the ring, is based solely on the shape of the HUGE center cut, that has this gorgeous, almost sea green color Royston turquoise that sits there screaming & begging for all the attention!!
Placed entirely around the center, are chunky free form cuts of mostly Royston, but has some turquoise in there from other Nevada mines. The cluster cuts are what give this ring the amazing contrast & character it has, along with having both earthy brown to black matrix in the stones.
THE SHANK:
The bypass shank is adjustable & hand stamped & is presently sized at a size 6-1/4. If you zoom in on the last photo, you'll see there's a rounded point on one end of the shank, with barely any room to go down in size. So this ring is made to go up in size & only down by maybe a 1/2 size (If you need to go down, this is something you would do) If you need me to make it larger, I can do this, but do not recommend going up no more than 1 size.
TURQUOISE PROVENANCE :
All of these cuts are from the Larry Cooley collection, who, when he passed a few years back, Federico was able to purchase Larry’s whole collection that he had been collecting for decades... Turquoise connoisseurs, designers, vendors, lapidarian’s, you name it, all wanted his collection, but because of Federico’s close relationship to Larry & his family, Federico was able to purchase the whole thing, but for a pretty high price since his turquoise is of a higher quality and because most of the mines are now depleted. Larry only carried THE best, with his turquoise being “harder” (with turquoise, hardness equates to quality) & didn’t need treatment in order for the turquoise to be cut. These days, you can’t even find some of what he had & if you did/do, it would go for quite a bit, per carat,. So when this turquoise is used up, it’s gone.
Artist Recognition, turquoise quality, cost per carat for this quality, amount of carats, turquoise availability, sterling cost & artists time are all reflected in price

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:
In order to give you close up photos so I can provide you with all the detail, can tend to make the item look much larger & everything is more magnified than in actuality..So to get an accurate idea of how big this is, please view it on the finger or what you can do is pull out a tape measure & compare to my given measurements.
*****I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color, just so you're not shocked, nor disappointed when you get the piece. I find however that photographing anything with 'yellow' in it, (orange, green) can come up a little more vivid than other colors, so please take this into consideration. I did photograph this in front of 2 different colored backdrops, so please go through all photos to see ANY variation. Remember, every monitor is different since some can show something to be more vivid and other monitors can make it look duller.
