This is designed with 9 panels that are pretty chunky in size & range in size from the smallest being in the 2” range to as big as in the 2-3/4” tall range. Each panels size and shape is dictated by the substantial shapes & cuts of Morenci turquoise, as well as for the plump sized Baroque pearls.

All the Morenci have something in common with the next, by having quite a bit of matrix, which tells you about the amount of minerals that lay in the rocks where this turquoise was formed... Behind all that matrix, on some you have this gorgeous vibrant blue that is specifically known to the Morenci mine, while on others, the blue is toned down by Iron Pyrite, bits of translucent white quartz & if you zoom in on the photos you'll also see metallic copper bits in many of the cuts! (See photos) The reason for this is because Morenci was one of THE biggest copper mines in the USA & was actually 1st used for mining copper.. That is, until they found turquoise there & then the turquoise was their main focus of mining! And for those who don’t know, copper is what actually gives blue turquoise, it’s blue color. But thank God they found the turquoise because Morenci proved to have some of the 'highest grade" turquoise that was found to have hardness (Equates to quality) Seeing this copper in the turquoise, actually makes it much more rare & valuable..

There is absolutely nothing more gorgeous than pairing turquoise & pearls & especially when you use Baroque pearls!!The funky shaped pearl clusters act as a halo for the turquoise & it's these that really give this it's wonderful elegance, while having a very sovereign feel!
